Military Support Group – Welcome Home
Welcome Back From Iraq/ 4 soldiers When: Monday, August 2, 2010 Time: 2:30 PM Where: American Legion Post 372 1532 Martin Avenue Cherry Hill, New Jersey 08002 Please come out to welcome home 4 soldiers from Iraq. Sgt. Suy- is assigned to 716th Quarter Master Company. He is of Cambodian decent and was born in Camden, NJ. He attended Woodrow Wilson High School and joined the military in his senior year. He was first deployed to a remote site in Iraq when he turned 21, where he did convoy missions and supported cav scouts, infantry, transition teams on convoy missions as gunner and driver. He has received Combat Action Badge Arcom and the Good Conduct Medal. Just recently while home on R&R he received the AAM award which was given to him at the American Legion Post 372. Sgt. Suy is returning from his 2nd tour in Iraq. He is the youngest of 13 brothers and sisters. He is also a member of AL Post 372. When he is home he volunteers on the Military Funeral Team and he has done over 300 details as a team leader. SPC Angela Young-is from Egg Harbor where she lives with her mother Patti, father John and she has a 6 year old sister, and 1 younger brother. She belongs to 716th Quarter Master Company. She joined the service 4 years ago and is just returning from her first tour in Iraq. SPC Machly Destin- was born in Haiti and moved to the USA when he was 6 years old. He joined the Army in 2005. He has a 1 year old daughter named Alana. He just reenlisted for another 6 years with the Army. This was his first tour to Iraq and is assigned to the 716th Quarter Master Company. He resides in Camden NJ and volunteers with Army Funeral Honors. SPC Rob Yates- is from Audubon NJ. This was his 2nd tour in Iraq. Please come out to welcome home these heroes and thank them for their service. They will be escorted to the American Legion in Rock Star style. They will be greeted by many patriotic well wishers and we invite you to come out and help us make some noise. There will be a Bar-B-Q to follow the honors. Media Welcome
