WHAT: A monthly gathering for Military Families &  Friends,  Veterans  & Those Who Care About Our Troops; Item Collection and  Care Packages to Deployed Troops.  We Share Veteran Information;   Deployment Family Support & Friendship; Speakers & Workshops on Various Topics.

Dear  Friends,


    at our last Military Support  Group of NJ Inc. (MSGNJ) meeting, Anthony from the NAM  Knights had tickets for their upcoming Fundraiser to benefit our  Veterans…….  The date and locale had to be changed (due to a  doublebooking of the VFW hall).    


   Please come support this event –  Saturday, April 17th, 7pm to 11pm at  St. Charles  Borroneo RC Church Hall,  176 Stagecoach Rd, Sicklerville,  NJ.  


     Tickets are  $20 for food, beverages, beer. Chinese auction. 50/50  Raffle and Dance Music by Philadelphia 70’s DJ WIFI 92’s Billy Johns.   To purchase tickets, please call Bob at  609-206-3652 or Anthony at  856-718-0008.   Flier is attached.  Please help to support our Veterans.


 


  Also, Our next Military Support Group of NJ  Inc. meeting will be Thursday,  April 8th 7pm to 9pm,  coffee at 6:30pm. Held at Chews United Methodist  Church, 319 Black  Horse Pike,  Glendora, NJ.   (flier attached)

Please  come out  to welcome home CWO 5 Christopher Harty from serving in Iraq. Chris  is 56 years old. He was called from retirement for a second time to  serve a  deployment as a liaison officer. He retired from the Marine Corps and   police force in 2000. He continued to work as a college professor and  for  the state before again volunteering his services to the  Corps. 


 


HE  IS ALSO A  VIETNAM VETERAN.


 


He  has served  38 years. There is much more to his resume’ that we will share on  Saturday. 


 


Please  come out  to honor this man and his service. He just returned from Iraq. We  would like to show him that a grateful nation stands behind  him…always. Please come out and make some noise and show this Marine  that  all of his years of service is appreciated by us all.

Miliatary Support Group Of NJ

Friends,


 Some of you have asked me what we need for the troops for this  upcoming meeting………


We can Always use:


any size package, any size flavor, Beef Jerky


Men’s white or black Calf Size cotton socks  (they have to come up to the calf so their boots don’t rub against the  leg)


packages of Diaper Wipes


Chap stick


Lastly, we need some 18 gallon Rubbermaid storage containers and  lids, any color.
